Acalypha wilkesiana (Copperleaf 'Raggedy Ann')
Raggedy Ann is a seldom seen variety of copper plant from Australia. It has elongated bronzy leaves with irregular, ragged edges, sometimes splashed with pink variegation. It has a tendency to grow tall and narrow, so it requires pruning a few times a year to keep it bushy. It can easily be maintained at any height from 3 to 8 feet, and 3-4 feet across. The flowers, similar to those of chenille plant, are an interesting curiosity rather than showy. It likes ordinary to rich soil, full sun and moderate to regular water. It is winter hardy in zones 9-11.
