Acalypha wilkesiana (Copperleaf 'Bronze Pink')
Acalypha wilkesiana 'Bronze Pink' is a variety of copperleaf that has large, slightly curled leaves splashed with variegation in several different colors. As the name suggests, the predominant colors are bronze and pink. The leaf shape gives the plant more texture than other varieties, and a truly charming form. In tropical conditions, it will quickly grow into a mound 6 feet tall and wide. It can grow 8 feet tall or more if not kept pruned. The flowers are not showy, but they are interesting. It likes ordinary to rich soil, full sun or a little afternoon shade and moderate to regular water. It is very easy to grow from cuttings, in sandy soil or in water. It is a tender tropical plant, winter hardy outdoors only in zones 9-11.
